“To live in the hearts of those you left behind is not to die.”

SATURDAY OPEN HOUSE:

Saturday, June 6 - 10am to 8pm

  1. Drive by (Text to let us know you’re coming and we’ll come out to wave and say hello!)

  2. Spend time hanging out in the driveway or front yard (6 feet apart of course)

  3. Come inside (mask or no mask…it’s your choice) and spend as much time as you like

  4. Sit on our back decks (upper or lower) or down near the fire pit (enter through either of the gates on each side of the house)

  5. Stay a long or a little while

UPDATES for Sunday, June 7 --

  1. Consider bringing a camping/beach chair on Sunday to enjoy your time outside. The yard is plenty big to safely social-distance with chairs.

  2. Charlie, Chips brother, is bringing 100 special masks he had made for the service/open house on Sunday. They will be available for people to use (and take home) on Sunday.

  3. Consider bringing a laptop/tablet if you're at the house for the service and you want to view the service on Zoom while practicing social-distancing. My understanding is that it will be better viewing the service on a larger, rather than smaller, screen.

  4. There will be signs/slips of paper around the house and yard with the home WiFi password. Our data service stinks on this side of Vienna, and you will likely need to be connected to the WiFi to view the service without interruption.

UPDATE: SUNDAY SERVICE/ OPEN HOUSE:

* Sunday Open House: 10:00-8:00 PM

* Prelude to Service: 12:30 PM

Slide show will be shown via the same Zoom link below; will loop every 12-15 minutes

* Chip's band Crazy Chester will play an acoustic set

Donations can be made in Chip’s name and memory to Teton Valley Ranch Camp’s Scholarship Endowment. Chip spent 4 years at TVRC from 1973-1976 and returned to be a camp counselor for 1 year (see homepage photo). All three of his children would later attend the ranch camp.

His time at this camp was the groundwork for his ability to meet challenges head on and with confidence. As his brother Charlie said, “At 10,000 feet you have to be ready for whatever life throws at you.” Chip took his skill of mountain climbing into his fight for cancer, which ultimately was his final summit to the ultimate peak of Heaven. He saw God everywhere on the mountains and he was in awe of His majesty. Now Chip lives on in God’s hands and the hearts of those who loved him.

A donation to Teton Valley Ranch Camp would spread Chip’s love through the mountains and give other people the opportunity to dwell in God’s majesty.
